The Dream War: The Royal Seal, is a thrilling tale about a small group of people trying to save their homeland from an invasion by a northern nation. But that task is riddled by perilous challenges and the revelation that dark forces that nearly destroyed the world once before are again at work.The groups is made of five people.
Sigurd: The leader of the group, chosen by the king for selfless bravery in defending his home, Vellard, from a bandit attack. He starts out unsure of himself as a leader, feeling Adrian was more appropriate, but is very driven to protect.
Euwart: He's Sigurd's best friend who is chosen to be a part of Sigurd's journey. Deadly with an axe and serves as a bit of comic relief.
Tristan: A friend of Euwart. Tristan is the last son of the Holy Order. His mother, Luna, dabbled in dark magic that his father, Terrowan, was sworn to destroy, which lead to a falling out between them that left Tristan and his little brothers alone. He's a more timid character who begins to come into his own.
Lloyd: A very stoic and cold man famed as the greatest swordsman in the land and an acquaintance of Euwart. He initially refused to come on the journey but changed his mind and caught up with them when he decided he could find an appropriate challenge.
Adrian: The captain of the guard in Vellard. He was chosen by the king to accompany Sigurd's team on their journey to Ariglioth to request military aid. He's older than the others and a more seasoned man who becomes a role model for Sigurd and is well versed in history and the world's lore.
The story's journey takes Sigurd's group from the capital of Enturvia, Vellard, to the capital of Ariglioth, Ciprius, and back. And along the way they are challenged by numerous foes: bandits, ancient demons, insane hell-worshiping tribals, wicked tyrants, and a black knight who wields powerful dark magic.
So, yeah, they've got their work cut out for them.
There's also a sequel out now. The Dream War Book Two: The Curse of the Magi, which is just as good as the first one.

A wonderful and entertaining book from the imagination of a true storyteller. I was enthralled by the compilation of characters and envisioned the world of knights and realms, duty and honor. The author delivers these treats and more with ease. I highly recommend and plan to read again!!!
I just completed reading "The Dream War - The Royal Seal" and I must say it read well, held my interest and made my mind wander.
I kept wondering was was coming next for the characters and was very surprised at the plot twists. It made me care about the characters and what was to befall them next.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book. It made me start reading again!
Very good book, well written and I can't wait for the next book from this author.
Excellent series of books can't wait for the third one two come out. Written in what is to assume as mid evil or perhaps mythical setting, with action packed battles, and one on one fighting. These books are a great read, and gift for anyone of certain ages do to some cuss words used. The second book was a little predictable but had an amazing suspenseful ending, much like the first. Will be keeping an eye out for the third i cant wait!
